Obituary of Charlie K Hoskins

Charlie K. Hoskins "Ham", was called home on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Catskill Regional Medical Center after a short illness. He was 73.

He was the son of the late Sarah Alice Smith and Johnnie Hoskins, born March 12, 1945 in Greensboro, Alabama.

Ham worked as a truck driver and later opened his own business, called Ham's Place, in South Fallsburg, NY. He was a part of South Fallsburg history. In the late 1970's he entertained many celebrities, like Mike Tyson, Mike Spinks and other famous athletes. He was a great entertainer and always looked for a good poker game with his many friends and associates after retiring from the business he drove truck, part time for Zakarin's Warehouse, So. Fallsburg, NY

He leaves behind one daughter, Seanna Patterson (Robert); two sons; a granddaughter Brielle and other grandchildren; his sister Sarah Marshall of Mobile, Alabama; his aunt Ethel Lee Garrett; many cousins and other family members; as well as all his special friends that cared for him and loved him: Tina Patterson, Eddie Clansy, Bill Patton, too many to mention them all. He is predeceased by his three brothers, his mother, father and three aunts.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 6pm on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home. Rev. Norman Graves will officiate.
