Obituary of Allison J Carleton

Allison J. Carleton, of Grahamsville, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She was 51. Born on May 21, 1966 in Ellenville, New York, Allison was the devoted daughter to Warren and Patricia Smith. Allison was a loving and selfless woman with a passion for expressing her artistic talent in the garden. According to those that graced her dinner table, she was arguably the best cook there ever was. She was an amazing conversationalist, and loved to chat with everyone. She enjoyed her office manager position at the accounting firm Tully & Maier, CPA in Ellenville. Her favorite pastimes included vacationing in the Poconos with her husband and spending time with her family. She supported everything her children undertook and had pride in their endeavors. Above all else, she loved her family fiercely. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and affectionately remembered. She leaves behind her loving husband Herbert Carleton; her parents Warren and Patricia Smith; her children Katelyn Frost and Stephen Carleton; her brother Darren Smith and his wife Hillary; her niece and nephew Bailey and Logan; her in-laws Herbert and Sandra Carleton, and Ruth Carleton; as well as her fur-babies Geddy, Nitro and Nestle and her grandpup Atticus. Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24th from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 25th at 10am at the funeral home. Rev. Michael Sparrow will officiate. Interment will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery in Ellenville. The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation and to the Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, Inc.
