Obituary of Carl Hartman

Carl A. Hartman of Woodbourne, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2013 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. He was 86. He was the son of the late Leo C. and Gertrude Eidel Hartman, born on August 29, 1926 in Woodbourne, NY. Carl proudly served our country in the United States Navy from 1944-1946. He was a self-employed construction worker that could build just about anything. He was a past member of the Woodbourne Hunting Club and lifetime member of the Woodbourne Fire Department. He is survived by his one son, Carl L. Hartman and his companion, Linda; his grandchildren: Travis Hartman and is wife, Dianna of Woodbourne, Lacey Lautenschlager and her husband, Eric of Albany, Jenna Burns and her husband, Brian of Fallsburg and Tyler Hartman of Queens; four great-grandchildren: Drew and Austin Hartman and Aidan and Emily Lautenschlager; one sister, Joan Benson. He was predeceased by his companion, Myrna Andrews; his sister, Arlene Herron and Helen Hartman. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2 to 4 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 4 p.m. on Monday, January 23, 2013. Rev. Bob Kersten will officiate.
