Obituary of Richard E. Hyzer Sr.

Richard E. Hyzer, Sr of Livingston Manor passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017 peacefully at home with his family at his side. He was 88 years old. He was the son of the late Morris T. and Marie Robertson Hyzer, born on July 29, 1928 in Parksville, NY. Richard was a logger who enjoyed working and being in the woods. He also loved to play cards and to dance and could often be found anywhere there was music. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved taking them camping, on picnics, to the fairs and the movies. He was a devoted family man who will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He is survived by his children, Richard Hyzer, Jr and his wife Linda, Janet Evans and her husband Marion, Marianne Nugent and her husband Larry and Nicole Stephenson and her companion Sean all of Livingston Manor. He is also survived by his grandchildren Melanie, Richard III, Lorilee, Jeffery, Joshua, Holly, Kathleen, Erin, Juliette, Randy, Jase, and great grandchildren Angelina, Amanda, Tessa, Richard IV, Ashley , David, Alex , Emma, Bryson , Adelyn, Savannah, Charlie, Samuel, Lucian, Bailey, Mackenzie and Morgan. His siblings Vera Gorr, Kenneth Hyzer, Alfred Hyzer, and Marie Bessette and several nieces and nephews also survive him. He was predeceased by his wife Gladys Davis Hyzer of 58 years, his siblings Theodore Hyzer, Thelma Salonich, Gladys Davis, Charlotte Hitt, Eleanor Stuhlmiller, Virginia Hyzer and Alice Hyzer. A private memorial service will be held by his family at their convenience.
