Obituary of Edna Meyer
Edna Meyer of DeBruce passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Catskill Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was 89. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Katherine Frey Loerch, born on March 18, 1923 in Maspeth, NY. For many years she was a bookkeeper for Versa Products Inc. She formerly lived in New Jersey until she decided to make Livingston Manor her home in 1968. She was an active member of her community. She was a member of the Livingston Manor United Methodist Church, Livingston Manor Senior Citizens and Giddens International Sullivan Chapter. She was a part of the Prison Fellowship, Christian Woman?s Club and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 298. On her spare time she volunteered at the RSVP Soup Kitchen in Monticello. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother that will be deeply missed. She is survived by her son, Ward Meyer and his wife, Carol of Livingston Manor; her three grandchildren, Douglas, Ashley Marie, Nicholas Meyer and a host of friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Meyer in 1986. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street, Livingston Manor, NY 12758 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. There will be an Order of the Eastern Star Service on Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Livingston Manor Methodist Church at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Vandermark Cemetery, DeBruce, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edna?s name can be made to the Livingston Manor United Methodist Church, PO Box 361, Livingston Manor, NY 12758.
