Obituary of Richard David Decker
Richard David Decker Sr., 59, of Woodbourne passed away on February 10, 2017. He will be dearly missed. Richard was born in Ellenville on March 19, 1957 to Theron and Alice Quick Miller.
Richard leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 21 years Marion Decker of Woodbourne. He also leaves behind his loving Aunt Maryellen Graves. His three children Stacey Decker of Middletown, Danielle Gionti of Bloomingburg and Richard Decker Jr. of Palm Coast FL. Three step-children Elizabeth “Betsy” Zeh of Lewisville Texas, Nancy Gonzalez of Woodbourne and Donald Cole Jr. of Woodbourne. He also leaves behind his eleven grandchildren known as “Jerry’s Kids”: Randy, Michael, Amanda, Brandon, Marion, Denasia, Isaiah, Donald III, Shannon, David and John. Along with three great-grandchildren Indigo, Giavanna and Jamarkis. Along with countless extended family and friends.
Richard was a jokester and comedian at heart, quick witted and always cracking wise remarks. He loved the outdoors especially tending to his chickens and goats and other animal friends, especially his canine companion Spartacus. Richard was a carpenter and would help his friends and neighbors doing carpentry jobs from time to time. He worked as a security guard for the Monticello Raceway and Casino.
