Obituary of Jack Mertine

Jack L. Mertine of Loch Sheldrake, NY passed away peacefully at Catskill Regional Medical Center on December 15, 2016. He was 74 years old. Son of the late Rose Biebel and Grant Mertine on October 4, 1942 in Kingston, NY. Jack was a kind person who had the ability to make people smile and laugh. He will be remembered for his interesting conversations about his job, his ability to remember birthdays, his wonderful sense of humor, his love for WWE wrestling and all types of music. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Jack will forever treasure the incredible moments they spent with him and will have his smile forever engraved in their memory. He was a loving son, brother, and uncle; he was predeceased by his parents, Rose and Grant Mertine, his brother, Howard Mertine, Harry Mertine and his half-sister, Shirley Bedford. Jack is survived by his twin sister, Jeanette Mertine, of New Jersey and his extended family at New Hope Community. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11am on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A funeral service will follow at 11am. Rev.
