Obituary of Myrna Anderman

Myrna Anderman, longtime resident of Mountaindale, NY peacefully entered into rest on Friday, December 9, 2016 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was 89 years old. She was the daughter of the late Anna and Edward Brody and stepdaughter to Sam Blackman. She was born March 8, 1927 in Bronx, NY. She was a librarian in the Fallsburg School District and instrumental in the development of the Fallsburg Reading Center which later became the Fallsburg Library. She was an officer in the Mountaindale/ Woodridge Chapter of the Senior Citizens. She was also an election examiner for 38 years. Myrna had a huge heart, always putting her family first. She had a passion for travelling, cooking, needle point and cards. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends but her memory will forever live on in their hearts. She is survived by her beloved husband, Frank Anderman, to whom she was married for 67 years; her children: Eddie and his wife Shiela of Mountaindale; granddaughter Sammie and her husband Joshua of Hartsdale, NY; son Gary and his wife Cathy; granddaughters Ava and Meredith of Mountaindale; son Chester of Mountaindale; sister Joyce and her husband David Katzman of Florida; brother Bernard Blackman of Monticello, NY; and sister-in-law Arlene Hussey of Mountaindale; and many nieces and nephews. The family of Myrna would like to personally thank the Mountaindale First Aid Squad, Dr. Rohmer, Dr. Schaffer, Dr. Singh and the entire 3rd floor staff of Orange Regional Medical Center, for their help in caring for Myrna.
