Obituary of Thomas David Weigand

Thomas "Tommy" David Weigand, of Rock Hill, NY, passed away peacefully in his home with his best friend, Rocky, by his side, Monday afternoon, November 14, 2016. He was 61 years young. Born on April 10, 1955 in Liberty, NY, to the late Harold M. and Marion E. Weigand. Tommy was a graduate of SUNY Binghamton and Mercy College and had a lifelong career in sales, he had a passion for motorsports including NASCAR and riding motorcycles. He had a remarkable knack for all things trivia and was an avid fan of Jeopardy. Tommy was a great friend to so many and had so many great friends that supported and cared for him. His life was enriched by his furry sidekick Rocky, his dear friend Paula Southwell, her family, and his best friend and cousin, Richard "Dicky" Yaple and his family. There are so many friends and neighbors that were so near and dear to his heart it's impossible to list them all. Both he and his family will forever be grateful for all the love and care that everyone around him showed. The world is a better place for having him in it and we are all a little bit better for having known him. Though his life may have ended too soon, it was a life complete in so many ways. He is survived by his sister Debbie Wilhelm, and her spouse Teri of Queensbury, NY and their son, Kenny, of Stoughton, MA; daughters Patti Suzel of St. Petersburg, FL, Carrie Winters, and her husband, Richard and their sons Cody, Evan and Wyatt of Liberty, NY; stepson Brian Carlsen, and his wife Daniell, and their children Jillian and Michael of Livingston Manor, NY. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7pm on Friday, November 18, 2016 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788.
