Obituary of Antonio Miele

Antonio Miele, of Monticello, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016. He was 74. He was the son of the late Raphael Miele and Angela Cabaliere, born on August 9, 1942 in Naples, Italy. Antonio turned his passion for cooking into a career, working as a chef for Gino's Restaurant in NYC for many years. He later moved to the Monticello area from Manhattan. In his free time when he wasn't in the kitchen he enjoyed being outside fishing and at one time raced horses. He was a loving husband, father, brother and uncle, he will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife Debra Smith Miele at home; his children Angela Miele of Brooklyn, Mariela Miele of Texas and Rey Caraballo of Manhattan; his siblings Michael Miele and his wife Amelia of White Lake and Anna Miele and her husband Claudio Villa of Italy; as well as his niece Angela Miele-Gambardella and nephew Ralph Miele. Visitation will be on November 9, 2016 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2-4:00pm. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 3:30pm with Father Bill Scafidi officiating.
