Obituary of Jean Mead

Jean K. "Beanie" Mead January 24, 1947 – October 24, 2016 Jean K. Mead, of Livingston Manor, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 after her courageous battle with cancer. She was 69. She was the daughter of the late Richard Pollard Sr. and Eleanor M. Hall, born on January 24, 1947 in Rochester, NH. Jean was a strong, energetic woman right until the very end. She was a beautiful woman that has left us and entered through Heaven's door. Finally at peace she now joins her husband, Frank Mead Sr., who passed away in December of 2007. Amanda and Richard Mead would like to personally thank their mother's hospice nurse for teaching them how to care for their mother. Jean is survived by her children Erica Hutchinson and her husband Brent, Richard R. Mead and his wife Jodie, Franklyn Mead Jr, Amanda Mead, Robert Mead and his companion Erin Smith; her grandchildren Alyssa, Tristian and Emille Mead, Paiton and Preston Wood, Paxton and Kyle Mead, and Paul Boyles; siblings Bobby Roger, Richard Pollard and Mary Ann Pollard; several nieces and nephews as well as many friends. She is predeceased by her son-in-laws Michael Wood and Douglas Nicholson. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 from 12 to 3:30pm at Colonial-Bryant Funeral Homes, 29 Pearl St. Livingston Manor, NY 12788. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 3:30 following the visitation at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Orchard Street Cemetery following the services.
