Francis McGuire August 21, 1937 – October 13, 2016 Loch Sheldrake, NY Francis McGuire of Loch Sheldrake, NY passed away on October 13, 2016 at Westchester Medical Center. He was 79 years old. Francis is the son of the late Mary and John McGuire; he was born in Manhattan, New York on August 21, 1937. Francis’ personality brought smiles, laughter, and happiness to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Many people have stories and fond memories of Francis that will forever bring a smile to their face when they think about him. He would greet people in the mornings with his salutation of “I want coffee lady”. He was best known for his “Hey Lady” followed by some request statements. In the evenings at dinner it was always “Hey, lady, where’s my beer” as he looked forward to his ODoul’s every night with dinner. The fondest memories of Francis are always the stories that involve his sense of humor and food; this would often involve one’s food stealthily being acquired by Francis. Only someone as charming as Francis could eat your food and still hold such a fond place in one’s heart. Francis loved the natural beauty of Sullivan County and often enjoyed going sight-seeing with his peers. Francis’ presence, his spirit, his quick wit and his love for sight-seeing will be greatly missed. He touched so many people who will forever have good memories to cherish for a lifetime. He will be missed dearly. There will be a memorial for Francis at his home on Friday October 21, 2016 from 12 to 2pm.
