Obituary of Charles Kolarik
Charles Kolarik, of Liberty, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 after a long running battle of leukemia. He was 72.
He was the son of the late Charles Kolarik and Florence Rohlage, born on May 17, 1944 in Coxsackie, NY.
Charles worked as an auto finisher for General Motors in Tarrytown, NY until he retired. In his free time he enjoyed the outdoors, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was someone you could go to if you needed anything fixed. Charles was a loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Carol Ann at home; his children Janice Kelly and her companion Robert Deluca of Wappinger Falls, John Kolarik and his wife Melissa of White Sulphur Springs, Scott Kolarik and his wife Jen of Shrub Oak, Joseph Phillips and his wife Andrea of Bardonia and Barbara Phillips of Bayside; his grandchildren Jessica Kelly, John, Anthony, Joseph, and Gianna Kolarik; a sister Rose Kolarik of Port Jervis; a nephew Phillip Kolarik and his wife Melissa; and his great-nephews Phillip and Matthew Kolarik. He joins in heaven his grandson Sean Kelly.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 9pm on Friday, September 30, 2016 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A mass of resurrection will be held at 10am on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at St. Peter’s Church, 264 Main St, Liberty, NY 12754. Father Bill Scafidi will officiate.
