Hi Aunt Barb. I've tried to look for you and Uncle Joe for a few years and couldn't find either of you. You both were my parents' good friends and I wanted to say hi and ask how you both are. I'm sorry to have finally found you under these sad circumstances but hope you write me to tell me about your life and your kids. Hugs to you and so sorry to hear about "uncle" Joe. Hope you remember us. I was the middle daughter. Dad has moved to Mesa AZ and remarried. I think he's been married to Carol just as long as dad was married to mom. Joy is fine and living in Palos and Erin in Tinley park. Both married with kids of their own as well as myself. I'd LOVE to see pictures of his art as I'm in a bit of the art world myself.

Chris and I are so sad to learn of Joe's passing. He was a source of knowledge and wisdom for both of us. I remember him best with his grey ponytail and sparkling blue eyes that always seemed to match his faded T-shirt, sitting on our Claryville porch, winding up a shaggy dog story. Joe's vegetable and flower gardens were where our children first learned the joy of a freshly pulled carrot. He was good at setting young people straight when they got silly ideas. We loved him, and are shocked and saddened that he's gone. We send our sincere condolences to Barbara and Joe's family. The world has lost a true original.

I am sorry to hear of Joe's passing. Joe was one of our longest standing Cooperative Weather Observers at 35 years of service. Keeping track of rainfall, snowfall, and temperatures in the Catskills. I always enjoyed my site visits, and talking with Joe, as we shared a lot in common. Especially the love of the outdoors and the Adirondacks. I also looked forward to looking at Joe's latest creations from his shop. My heart goes out to the family during this tough time.
Thank you Joe for your dedicated service.
