Rev. Woodworth was a true pastor, offering loving kindness and support to the Lounsbury family during her time at the Hurleyville United Methodist Church and thereafter. I am particularly grateful that Pastor Sue was able to conduct my father's interment service in the Hurleyville cemetery in May 2014, extending a welcoming, gracious presence to all gathered there. May God grant you peace in this time of loss. She will be missed.

I am so saddened to hear of Sue's passing. I had not seen her in a few years but always treasured every minute I spent with her. I met Sue when I became a board member of Koinonia, campus ministry in Oneonta. Her spirit was always so uplifting. So positive, so engaging. Loved walking the labyrinth which Koinonia acquired and shared with churches and groups around the area...and the one at her home. She introduced me to a special retreat center. Her journey to finding love with Bob was very special. Her continued journey to ministry was not a surprise. I knew we were kindred spirits when we both had the same taste in clothing....showing up in the same coat or the same Eddie Bauer jumper..
My deepest condolences to Bob, her children Gideon and Chelsea who were being talked about and all the rest of her family. May God Bless you all as you mourn....knowing that others grieve with you.

It was so hard to read Sue's obituary through my tears. She was one of the most positive, loving, energetic person I have ever known. Anyone who knew her could see how warm and loving she was, always thinking of others. I served on the Campus Ministry committee with her at Hartwick College, where she touched so many lives. We continued to be friends on Facebook as I watched her fix up her wonderful home she was so proud of. I will miss her dearly but it is selfish of me to want her back. She is no longer suffering and has joined her God in heaven. My sympathy to the whole family. We have lost a treasure but she has also left much for all of us.

Dear Bob, On Saturday the biggest dragonfly I have ever seen came and flew between me and the book I was reading at the pool. It just hovered, It hung around the pool for awhile and then was gone... I thought of Sue when it was there... I wonder why... That evening Peggy Ann called to say that Sue had been taken mercifully into God's loving arms... We hug you Bob , and pray that the blanket of God's love found in all who loved and respected and were lifted up by precious Sue will bring some measure of comfort, as you find your way. In God's time you will join her for eternity. Our heartfelt love, George and Gretchen Fischer

To the family of Susan Woodworth- Bob, Chelsea, and others:
I am so sorry for your loss. With every email and journal that Susan wrote, I was moved. Her thought process throughout this journey has been amazing, touching, and I think we all felt privileged for her to be sharing these thought processes with us. Her absolute happiness seemed to stem from spending time with family and friends, at her house in Vermont. Her spirit will remain with you and continue to live on in your memories even though she is physically gone.
My thoughts and prayers go out to you all. Kim

To Sue's Family:
I have followed Sue's journal as she wrote it and most of the time I was in tears. To know what she must have been experiencing and yet to be so upbeat in her writings was just amazing! I think we all hopefully have learned much from following her on her journey. I must say that I don't think I would have had the courage to go on and enjoy what time was left knowing I had to leave those I love in such a quick manner.
Sue was a special kind of lady! May she rest in peace - I am glad I got to know her!
Blessings!

Bob and Chelsea,
I am flooded with so many conflicting feelings.
I am sorry for your loss and I am sorry for my loss. I am grateful that Susan is no longer suffering, but wish she had been granted more time...even in the" thinning" of these last days. I had the good fortune of knowing Susan as an extension of the Middlebury crew that I hung out with in 77-78 and I had the even greater fortune of reconnecting with her this spring, albeit way, way too briefly. I can only begin to imagine your family's collective sense of grief, because, to know her--to spend time with her--was to yearn for more. She was a woman of grace, dignity, compassion, intellect and humor, who was a role model for living and now dying with purpose and commitment.
I will miss her. I will try to honor her by reminding myself of the way that she navigated the world.
My heart breaks tonight,
with love and in her memory,
Marsha

I knew Susan only briefly; meeting her on the campus of Drew in 2011. Shortly thereafter she found it necessary to leave the campus, but I was enriched by my brief opportunities for conversation with her. I found the lovely words of her Obituary to be a true and honest affirmation of the woman I met that day in 2011. she let a small contingent of us know about her diagnosis and I have thought of her everyday since. Wholeness and Love are the ways I think of this wonderful woman. I pray for peace, love, and joy to surround the whole family at this time and always.

To the family of Sue Woodworth -- I extend my heartfelt prayers and love to all of you. I had the privilege of being Sue's friend in Delhi for several years. As a newcomer to Delhi and the United Ministry Sue took me under her wings and made me feel cared for and loved. I spent many hours with her walking her labyrinths in a variety of settings. I joined in family gatherings and was made to feel as if I was family. I know that her passing is a great loss to you and to life. Sue lived her life to the fullest and died that way also. We all have our private and most loved memories of her that will be in our hearts and minds forever. She did lead a rich and varied life and I know she left all of you with a heart full of wonderful treasures.
