Obituary of Marcia Zalsky

Marcia H. Zalsky of Pine Bush passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 79. She was the daughter of the late David and Lena Gross Dlugatch, born on November 7, 1936 in New York City. Marcia worked for many years at Nat Kagan Meat and Poultry Inc. in the customer service department. Marcia loved all animals and being the wife of a farmer she had a special love for farm animals. On her free time she liked to garden and spend time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew and loved her. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Dawn Krol and her husband Jack of Pine Bush, her granddaughters Kathleen Krol of Pittsburg, PA, and Melissa Krol of Pine Bush, one great granddaughter Katie Krol-Schaus of Pittsburg, PA, one brother Donald Dlugatch and his wife Sally of Woodridge, one niece Diane and "adopted grandson" Don Vanderley. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Henry Zalsky in 2011. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2-4:00pm and 7-9:00pm. Donations in Marcia's name can be made to an animal rescue of one's own choice.
