Obituary of Rita M Dill

Rita M. Dill, of Saratoga Springs, formerly of Woodbourne, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016. She was 98. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Arthur and Eva Rulis, born on April 8, 1918 in Carbondale, PA. Rita worked as a telephone operator for many years while living in Sullivan County. In her free time she spent many hours volunteering for the Immaculate Conception Church in Woodbourne, often helping the new priests become acquainted with the area and the people who lived there. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her son Jim Dill and his wife Karen; her 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law Beverly O'Hearn-Dill and her two children. She is predeceased by her loving husband J. Howard Dill and her son John Dill. Donations in Rita's name can be made to The Community Hospice of Saratoga Springs, 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, New York 12866. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10am on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Church, 6317 State Route 42, Woodbourne, NY 12788. Father John Lynch will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Woodbourne, NY.
