Obituary of Cesarina Rivera

Cesarina "Cesa" Rivera, of Livingston Manor, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016. She was 89. She was the daughter of the late Angel Ramos and Juanita Sanabria, born on September 28, 1927 in San German, Puerto Rico. Cesa was a great cook and always made sure everyone was well fed. She loved her family and most of all loved being a grandmother and great grandmother. Cesa was devoted to her lord and took great pleasure in studying her bible. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Jose "Papo" Rivera and his wife Iris, Leida Grevi and her husband Frank, Roberto Rivera and his wife Delia, Elba Santos and her husband Angel, Benjamin Rivera, Nancy Roa and her husband Louis, and Gregoria "Cuca" Rodriquez; her 20 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren and her daughter-in-laws Daisy Rivera and Margarita Negron. She was predeceased by her two sons Alberto "Kookie" Rivera and Monserratte "Junie" Rivera; and her granddaughter Valerie Rivera. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Colonial-Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl St. Livingston Manor, NY 12758 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. A celebration of her life will take place on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the funeral home at 10am. Pastor Rafael Gonzalez officiating. Interment to follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery.
