Obituary of Roy Lee Rogers

Roy Lee Rogers Sr., 55, of Livingston Manor passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at home. He will be dearly missed. Roy was born the son of the late Elias Billings Rogers and Marian DeVoe Rogers on March 5, 1961 in Livingston Manor. Roy was a true outdoorsman; He was a self-employed logger and carpenter, fisherman and hunter, and great with animals especially his horses. He really knew how to enjoy the simple things in life like sitting on his front porch just taking in the environment. Roy was renowned for his home made maple syrup and his favorite apple pie. Most of all everyone knew Roy as a man who would do anything for anyone, he would give the shirt of off his back to help a neighbor. He is survived by his beloved wife Andrea M. Judge Rogers and their two sons: Roy L. Rogers Jr. and his wife Nikki and Stephen Rogers. He is also survived by his brothers Stanley and his wife Cathy and Mark and his wife Ruth Ann. Along with a sister Susan Knack and her husband Dennis. And his three grandchildren: Dakota, Hailey and Gage. Roy is predeceased by his two daughters Mandy and Nicole and his brother Billy. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 21, from 7 to 9 pm at Colonial-Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street Livingston Manor NY 12758. A funeral service will be held in Roy's honor on Wednesday, at 11 am, at the funeral home with Fr. Ed Bader officiating.
