Obituary of Kathleen Marie Disanza
Kathleen Marie Disanza of Bethel passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at home with her loving family by her side. She was 91.
She was the daughter of the late Irving and Alice Streeter Baxter, born on June 1, 1924 in New York City, NY.
She was a devout Catholic, she was a dedicated member of St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church in Mongaup Valley and St. Ann's Catholic Church. She held various positions within the church throughout the years; she always made sure the churches were clean and ready for services. She was there to lend a helping hand whenever she was called upon. She was a member of the White Lake Bethelites Club and Home Extension Club. In her free time she enjoyed quilting and arts and crafts, but she especially loved to spend time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all that knew and loved her, she will be sadly missed.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving daughter Dorothy O`Keeffe Griffin and her husband Wayne, of Woodbourne, her sons Wayne W. Disanza and his wife Mary Ann of Tom's River, NJ and Michael Disanza of Bethel, five grandchildren Shannon Neiderman, Stacey O'Keeffe, Vincent, Michael, and Ann Marie Disanza, five great grandchildren and one sister Eleanor Seaparo of California. She was predeceased by her devoted husband James Vincent Disanza, two sons James J. Disanza, and John D. Disanza, one granddaughter Nicole Marie Disanza, six sisters and two brothers.
There will be a Mass of Christian burial on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at St. Joseph's Mission Church Gale Road, Mongaup Valley, NY at 10:00am. Interment will follow at St. Peters Cemetery Monticello, NY.
In lieu of flowers donations in Kathleen's name can be made to St. Peters Church 10 Liberty Street, Monticello, NY 12701 for the care of St. Joseph's and St. Ann's Mission Churches.
