Obituary of Richard Ivan Kelly
Richard Ivan Kelly “Uncle Dickie” of Livingston Manor, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at home. He was 72.
He was the son of the late Ivan John and Helen Edwards Kelly, born on March 21, 1944, in Liberty, NY.
He proudly served our country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as a heating and plumbing mechanic for Agway for many years. He was an artist on his free time and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Shandalee Hunting Club where he also enjoyed cooking. Many who knew and loved him affectionately called him “Uncle Dickie”; he will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his brother Johan Kelly and his wife Joan, his nieces Melissa Haccoun and her husband Eric of North Carolina, and Lori Marler and her husband Chris of Youngsville, several nieces and nephew and anyone that considered his Uncle Dickie. He was predeceased by one sister Julia “Judy” Diescher.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Colonial-Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street Livingston Manor, NY 12758 from 5-7:00pm.
