Obituary of Ike Larry

Ike Larry Jr., a resident of Woodridge, NY passed away at home on Monday, April 11, 2016, after suffering a long-time illness. He was 85. Mr. Larry was the son of the late Ike Larry Sr. and Amy Stocks Larry, born on March 23, 1931, in Philadelphia, PA. Mr. Larry enjoyed being with his family and with his lovely wife. He loved working and being in the outdoors. He had a passion for landscaping. He worked for a number of companies throughout Woodridge and Mountaindale,NY. Ike is survived by his loving wife Josephine Evans-Larry at home; his children: Mark Larry (Cherly) of California, Raymond Larry of New York, Dr. Lamont Larry (Belinda) of Maryland, Theresa of Pennsylvania and Tammy Davenport of Pennsylvania; his step-children Hazel Evans of Maryland, Brenda Miller of New York, Glenda Ivory of North Carolina, Mary Evans (Jerry) of Massachusets, and Andrew Evans of New York, sisters Shirley Morris and Esterbelle Larry both of Pennsylvania; brother Robert Larry of Pennsylvania; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by three brothers, three sisters, his daughter Sandra Larry, grandchild Corina Larry and a step-daughter Rachel Sue Gai. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 11 to 1pm at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Pastor Dolores Williams officiating. Burial will take place following the funeral service at Woodbourne Cemetery.
