Obituary of Kenneth Wilson
Kenneth Ray Wilson of Monticello passed away peacefully at Sullivan County Adult Care Center. He was 85.
He was the son of the late Raymond and Susan Faye Stinnett Wilson, born on October 6, 1930 in Oklahoma City, OK.
Kenneth was an administrator for the National Academy of Television Arts and Science for over 25 years. He was a member of the Bridge Club that often played in Goshen. Kenneth was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening especially when it came to his fruit trees. However, Kenneth found the most enjoyment when it came to volunteering at the Literacy Volunteers of Sullivan County. He would often teach people how to speak English, how to read and most importantly the importance of literacy. He would donate all of his unused books and as much time as he could.
He was survived by his nieces and nephews Randall Horning and Margaret Horning and her husband Bob, his great nieces and nephews Michelle Bennett and her husband Kevin, and Michael RF Horning and his wife Meghan, and two great great nieces and nephews Jessie and Abbi Horning, his close friends Sam Romano, Ellen Settimo, Barry Hoffman and Irwin.
He was predeceased by his partner and best friend Jack Irving twelve years ago.
Funeral services were handled privately at the convenience of his family.
