Obituary of Charles Nelson

Charles "Chuck" Nelson of Loch Sheldrake passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Thursday, January 7, 2016. He as 87. He was the son of the late Mary Cavila and Charles Nelson, he was born on August 1, 1928 in the Bronx, NY. Chuck was a kind, loving soul who had the ability to bring a smile to anyone's face. He will be particular remembered for his warm, welcoming smile, wonderful sense of humor, and his love of Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend that will be deeply missed. He is survived by his niece, Christine Doyle and her husband, David, their children Erin Zolkiwsky, Eric and Devin Doyle, his nephew Anthony Mathews of Tampa, Fl., as well as his extended family at New Home Community. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Nelson. Visitation will be on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 10-11:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception 6317 State Route 42, Woodbourne, NY 12788 at 11:30 am.
