Shirley Ann Bagailuk
September 1, 1939 – November 21, 2015
Shirley Ann Bagailuk, of Hurleyville, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2015 with her daughters by her side. She was 76.
She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Esther Conklin-Swendsen, born on September 1, 1939 in Cochecton, NY.
Shirley worked as a bus driver, first for Wilson Bus then for Rolling V Bus Company where she retired from. She was a past member for the Ladies Auxilary of Hurleyville, Hurleyville Fire Department and Ambulance Corp. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and friend to all that knew her. Shirley was a soft and gentle woman who adored her family, she was known as Grandma Goodies to all the children she loved so dearly
She is survived by her loving daughters: Kathleen Capozzoli and her husband, Lou of Livingston Manor, Cindy Hook of Livingston Manor, Terri Pellam and her husband, Tim of White Sulphur Springs, and Kristi Jouben and her husband, Mike of Sauquoit; a son-in-law, Richard Simmons of Hurleyville; her grandchildren Jessica, Michelle, Chuck, Aaron, Kristin, Shane, David, Pam, Jeremiah, Jacob and Jared; nine great-grandchildren; her brother Glenn Swendsen; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband Ted Bagailuk, her son Robert “Bobby” Hillriegel, her brothers Ellis and Harold Swendsen and son-in-law Frank “Bob” Hook.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 from 5-8pm at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the funeral home at 10am. Mr. Jim Kaufman will be officiating. Interment will follow at Luna Organization Cemetery, Glen Wild, NY.
