Obituary of Gary T Murphy

Gary T. Murphy, of Grahamsville and Ellenville, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015 in Harris, NY. He was 54. He was the son of the late Ronald Murphy and Jean Marie Hopkins, born on September 22, 1961 in Ellenville, NY. He worked for the NYC D.E.C. in Grahamsville, NY. He also proudly served our country in the US Army. In his free time he enjoyed listening to music, going to concerts, and spending time with family and friends around the campfire. He was a loving husband, father, grand-father, brother and friend to all that knew him, he will be sorely missed and fondly remembered. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Murphy at home; their daughter: Deena Murphy of Monticello; his grand-children: Jayda and McKenna Mann and Landon Murphy; His siblings: Teresa Gonzales and her husband Herman of Swan Lake, Kevin Murphy and his wife Cathy of Grahamsville and Brian Murphy of Napanoch; as well as many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He is predeceased by his brother Ronald Murphy. Visitation will be held from 9-11am on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788. Funeral Services will be held at 11am at the funeral home. Rev. Mike Sparrow will officiate. Interment will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery.
