Obituary of Mark Rexford
Mark Richard Rexford of South Fallsburg passed away suddenly on Monday, August 31, 2015 at Catskill Regional Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was 62.
He was the son of Beatrice Rexford and the late Bernard Rexford, born on October 8, 1952 in Liberty, NY.
Mark was the family checker champ and card shark. He was famous for singing the last word in every stanza of popular songs. He was an avid model builder especially cars and airplanes. Mark was a regular at Liberty McDonalds and Dunkin Donuts sharing cheeseburgers and coffee with his dad. For many years he worked at Sullivan Industries until his retirement. He was cherished by his parents, adored by his family and loved by all the staff and friends at ARC especially at the Alport House. His sparkling eyes and smile drew them all in. Mark was easy going, always with a smile and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving mother Beatrice, his brothers Timothy Rexford, Peter (Ann) Rexford, David (Karen) Rexford, his sisters Marianne (Jay) Litzman and Bernadette (Gary McIntosh) Rexford, his nieces and nephews Joshua (Samantha) Litzman, Katherine (David) Corvi, Mathew Lawrence, Alexandra Litzman, Matthew, Anna and Kristina Rexford, great nephew Jacob Litzman and a host of friends. He was recently predeceased by his father Bernard Rexford.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 11:00m-1:00pm. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home at 1:00pm, Father Lynch will officiate. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
