Lee was a kind, sweet wonderful man, a really exceptional person...a real "mensch".
He was the kind of person who was a role model even in a brief interaction...his patience and kindness showed through so strongly that it was always a pleasure just to talk with him...at least to us, there was no big ego at all, nothing to prove, a real gentleman.
We wish his family peace and consultation. We are sure that it will be difficult being without him.

Dear Teri, Shelley and Gary and families:
He had such a vibrant life and seemed to enjoy his "old age" if you can call it that! His energy and enthusiasm for life will live on in his children and grandchildren which is a wonderful legacy for him.
You were blessed with a wonderful, loving father. I know he will be deeply missed.
Love,
Peggy

Hi Teri: I just read the news about your father. Although I never had the pleasure of meeting him, I felt like I knew him from all of your stories about him. He was no doubt an amazing man and I know there will be a huge whole in your heart that will never be completely filled -- although hopefully the memories of his long and magnificent life will bring you some comfort during this difficult time. I am sorry I cannot get out to NY for his services, but I will be making a donation in his honor. Call me when you get back in town and let's have dinner (on me). I am so very sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear of my wonderful Uncle Lee's passing. He and Aunt Margie were two of my favorite people. Anyone who had the pricvilege of knowing them, loved them. My sister, Susan had no middle name and when she met Lee when she was no more than eight years old, she decided that her middle name would be Lee!,
My sympathy to the whole wonderful family.
Best love, Bette

My heartfelt condolences to the entire Siegel family. Lee was a friend to anyone fortunate enough to meet him. I was blessed for having served with him on the Board of Supervisors in the late 80's and early 90's. Lander, Sipple, Siegel and O;Hearn-Dill were the last of the good old boys (and one girl) and we celebrated over lunch a few times the last three years.
I was fortunate to have seen him the last time at the Rotary Recognition Dinner at the Villa in May and got my usual hug and kiss while dining with him. That is my final memory of a man I loved dearly. I did say many things about his service to his Country and his Community on Facebook for all to see and know something of the great man I knew.
He is now at peace with his beautiful Marg, looking down on his beautiful family and the hundreds of lives he touched knowing farewell that he left a positive impact on each and everyone of us. His legacy is undying.
Love to you all.
