Obituary of Ruth Ann Mickelson

Ruth Ann Mickelson of Woodbourne passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Catskill Regional Medical Center with her loving husband by her side. She was 74. She was the daughter of the late Leo L and Mary M. Hartman Rexford born on April 4, 1941 in Monticello. She was the past Vice President of the Ferndale Troopers Wives Association, secretary at Tri-Valley Central School, Cashier at R & H Banner Market in Woodbourne and chairman of committees of Susquenango Chapter of Family Motor Coach Association. Most recently many will know her from being co-owner of R.A. Mickelson & Son Construction. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and friend that will be dearly missed by everyone that knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband Raymond A. Mickelson, her sons Garth Mickelson of Connecticut, and Patrick Mickelson and his wife Tara of Woodbourne, grandchildren Michael J. Foster, Colin and Sierra Mickelson, her brother Bernard of Loch Sheldrake, step-sister Margaret Reid of Carlisle, England, step-brother John Tierney of London, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her brothers Richard and Leo Jr. , and step-father Edward Tierney. A celebration of her life will be at the Grahamsville Reformed Church, State Route 55, Grahamsville, NY at 11:00am. on Saturday, August 8, 2015 Rev. Paul Z. Ruter will officiate. A burial of ashes will follow at Grahmsville Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to St. Judes Children Hospital P.O.
