death forever...and wipe away the tears from all faces" (Isaiah 25:8). Along

Dear Sheryl,
Please accept my condolences on the passing of your father. While I never had the pleasure of meeting him, I can see from his obituary that he was indeed a renaissance man in the truest sense of the word. Incredible legacy! I offer my condolences to the rest of the Wertheim family also. May he rest in peace.

I will always hold the fondest memories of Bud.
I remember when, as a teenager, I put on a ventriloquist show for him. He gave me praise but said the store bought dummy I was using didn't work for me. He took the time and patience making sketches for me to approve, and went on to craft the most amazing puppet that I still use till this day (and "Alex" is wearing the leisure suit that Bud picked out for him). It was one of the most generous acts that I ever experienced in my life.
He amazed me with his love of life, art, and people. My condolences go out to Marlene, Sheryl, Jason and the rest of the family.

So sorry to hear of Bud's passing. He was a great favorite of mine in school. Maybe that's why I later became an art teacher. My thoughts go out to you, the family.

I am so sorry to hear about Bud. I knew him all of my life and loved him and his work. He was great friends with my Dad John Weiner. My deepest regrets to his family and friends. I'm sure he and Dad are up In heaven playing cards and laughing about old school stories.
Much love,
Ricki

There is only one Bud Wertheim, a force of nature, an amazing man of talent, good friend to many, including my parents and an everlasting influence on my life, a "doer" of things, someone who learned and kept on learning with the utter joy of learning to do new things and do them well. Marlene, Sheryl and Jason, my heart goes out to you. I love you all and I love Bud.

Dear Wertheim Family: It breaks our hearts when death separates us from the ones we love no matter how young or old they happen to be. We are reminded in the Bible that God sees our pain and sorrow and has promised that soon death will be done away with...swallowed up forever.(Isaiah 25:8) He will heal our broken hearts by resurrecting our dear loved ones to life again.(Acts 24:15) I hope in the days ahead as you reflect on Earl's life, and the wonderful memories left behind, that you will also find comfort in God's promises to us for the near future. I am so sorry for your loss.
