Obituary of William Brent Healey

William Brent Healey of Woodbourne passed away on June 1, 2015 at Catskill Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 63. He was the son of the late William and Greta Risdon Healey born on August 19, 1951 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn NY. Brent was raised in Greenpoint Brooklyn until his family relocated to Sullivan County. He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam Era where he received a Purple Heart Metal. For many years he worked as a tax preparer for Brenner Income Tax. On his free time enjoyed many things such as: motorcycles, boating, watching movies and he was always up for a good debate, but he especially liked spending quality time with his family. He was great at building things with his hands and he could fix anything. He was a people person that loved to tell jokes. His keen sense of humor will be deeply missed, by everyone that knew and loved him. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 41 years Teresa Healey of Woodbourne his children Donald Gallagher and his wife Karen of Staten Island, Patty Cooley and her husband Lou of South Carolina, Kelly Gallagher and her fiancé Mike Keane of New Paltz, Nicole Rainey and her husband Mason, his grandchildren Jessica, Alyssa, Katie, Michael, Lauren, Nicholas, and Makenzie, his siblings Linda Kulibaba, Mark, Roger, Keith and Gordon Healey and Gail Keough, and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was predeceased by his one sister Greta Healey. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2-4:00pm and 7-9:00pm. A funeral service will be on Thursday evening at (TIME) at the funeral home.
