Obituary of Rose M. Weigand

Rose M, Weigand of Woodbourne passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 94. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Mildred Carmendina Nagoda, born on October 5, 1920 in Lynch, Kentucky. Rose was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception for many years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all that knew and loved her. She always made her home a warm and inviting place for all to come and visit; she will be deeply missed. She is survived by her son Richard Weigand and his wife Margaret of Woodbourne, her daughter Donna Allard and her husband James of Plattsburg, NY., her loving grandchildren Christine and Michael Allard, her sister-in-laws Dorothy Osterhout, Grace and Betty Weigand, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Richard A. Weigand, her siblings Viola, Mildred, William, Rudolph, Frank, James and Eleanor. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 2-4:00pm and 7-9:00pm and Friday, May 22, 2015 from 9-9:45am at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788. A Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday, May 22, 2015 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 6317 State Route 42 Woodbourne, NY 12788 at 10:00am. Interment will follow at St. Michaels Cemetery, Ulster Heights, NY. Donations in Rose's name can be made to the Woodbourne First Aid Squad 355 Fire House Road, Woodbourne, NY 12788.
