Obituary of Virginia Congro

Virginia Congro of South Fallsburg passed away peacefully at home on May 12, 2015. Virginia was born in New Jersey to her mother Virginia Congro-Marinaro on May 28, 1943. She was 71. Virginia moved to Sullivan County in 1981 to join what would become her family at Sullivan ARC. Virginia enjoyed listening to music and was a collector of stuffed animals. She enjoyed spending time with her friends at the Rose Valley Day Program and her house mates and staff at the Alport Residence most of all. Virginia was a true fighter and optimist, no matter the pain she would always keep smiling. She leaves behind her entire extended family at the Sullivan ARC community, especially those at the Alport Residence in South Fallsburg. "Though you are gone you will be in our hearts forever". A funeral service will take place in Virginia's honor on Monday, May 18, at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 state route 52 Woodbourne NY, from 10 to 11 am.
