Obituary of Lois M Korth

Lois M. Korth, of Livingston Manor passed away at the Catskill Regional Medical Center on Wednesday May 13, 2015. She will be dearly missed. Lois was born on March 5, 1923 in Liberty to George and Louise Ellmauer. She was 92. Lois was the widow Edward J. Korth , who passed away April 7, 2008 Lois served the children and staff at the Jeffersonville Central School District and Sullivan County BOSCES as a manager of the cafiteria . Furthermore she served her community with the Callicoon Volunteer Lady's Fire Auxillary. She was also a supporting member of the Callicoon Community Church. Lois enjoyed caring for animals and tending to her garden. Most of all she enjoyed good times with friends and family. Any stranger that Lois ever met and got to know became an enduring friend. Lois leaves behind her caring son George E. Korth of Paducah, KY; her sister-in-law June Ellmauer; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by her twin sister Louise Korth; and her two brothers: Jack and Ted Ellmauer. Visitation will take place at Colonial-Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street Livingston Manor NY, on Monday, May 18, from 12 to 2 pm. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home in Lois' honor at 2 pm.
