Obituary of Richard V. Irelan

Richard V. Irelan of Rock Hill passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Sullivan County Adult Care Center. He was 67. He was the son of the late Victor Irelan and Irene Wheeler born on July 27, 1947 in Ottumwa, Iowa. As Rich would always say "right there" and "I'll turn around and tell you" are some of the lines his friends and family will miss most of all. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all that knew and loved him. He will be sorely missed. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his three children: Richard Irelan Jr., Greg Irelan, and Tammy Irelan-Lara; his grandchildren: Matthew, Josh, Jessie, Amber, Madison, Desirea, Gavin, Ariana, Michael and Jayden; his great-grandchildren: Abby, Matt and Brooke; two sisters Lana and Linda, two brothers Terry and Victor, and a host of friends.He was predeceased by one son, Michael "Mikey" Irelan, his wife Marilyn A. Decker and his two sisters Vicki and Joyce. There will be a graveside services on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Old Falls Cemetery for both Richard and Marilyn Irelan at 11:00 am.
