Obituary of Mary Driever

Mary "Mitzi" Driever died Monday, May 6, 2013. She was 84 years old. Mary loved all living things. Although she never had children, Mitzi loved her niece, nephews and their children and never forgot a birthday. She was an avid reader, an accomplished knitter, and possessed all the skills of a true homesteader. She was also a wealth of family knowledge and local history. She could readily recall events that happened in the community over the past 80 years. She was an incredible woman who will be missed by many. Mary is survived by her sister, Henrietta; her niece, Lynne; nephews: William and Peter; seven grandnieces and nephews and two great-grandnephews. She was predeceased by her brother, William and one nephew, Robert. Visitation will be held at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, on Friday, May 10th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Services will immediately follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Hillside Cemetery.
