Obituary of Lucinda O'Neil
Lucinda May O`Neil formerly of Woodridge passed away January 3, 2011 peacefully with her family by her side. She was 94.
She was the daughter of the late Floyd and Ella Stangel O`Neil, born on March 10, 1916 in Fallsburg, NY.
Lucinda took an interest in many different things over the years. She loved to bake and enjoyed spending time outdoors. She took great pleasure in looking at the beauty of nature and especially loved red roses. She was a very family oriented person and as her family grew so did her love for spending time with them. She would spend as much quality time with her grandchildren and made each and every visit with them special in its own way; she was truly an extraordinary mother, grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed by her friends and more than ever by her family.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory one son Joe Hesse and his wife Beverly, three daughters Betty Budd and her husband Edward, Rita Burdick and her husband Bill, and Marsha Vining and her husband Jimmy, on daughter-in-law Roseanne Hoose, 19 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
She was predeceased by one son George Hoose.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 7, 2011 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52, Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the funeral home at 11:00am with Rev. Paul Z. Ruter officiating; interment will follow at Old Falls Cemetery, Fallsburg, NY 12733.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Lucinda's name to Skeet Club Manor, 1560 Skeet Club Road, High Point NC 27265.
