Obituary of Helen Martin

Helen A. Martin of Grahamsville, passed away on February 17, 2011 at Ellenville Regional Medical Center peacefully with her family by her side. She was 71. She was the daughter of the late Abraham and Ann Pilgram Colson, born on March 15, 1939 in Manhattan, NY. Helen was a warm loving person, her smile and genuine kindness will be deeply missed. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her loving children Nancy Parks of Swan Lake, Laurie Shader of Pollock, LA, Jennifer Thomas of Ulster Park, Kathleen Westphal of Livingston Manor, and Matthew Martin of Mongaup Valley, fifteen grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, one brother James Colson of Port St. Lucie, FL, and one sister Pearl Rose of Palenville, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifton Martin in 2008. Visitation will be on February 20, 2011 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2-4. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 21, 2011 at 11:00am at the funeral home Rev. Bob Kersten will officate. Interment will follow at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
