Obituary of Jamie Gershon

Jamie Gershon of Woodbourne passed away on Monday, February 21, 2011 at Del Ray Medical Center, FL. with her mother by her side. She was 52. She was the daughter of Martha Gittin Gershon and the late Murray Gershon, born on October 12, 1958 in Monticello, NY. Jamie was a kind generous person that was always willing to help someone in need. She would often volunteer at various hospitals such as Catskill Regional Medical Center and Del Ray Medical Center. Jamie was a proud graduate of Fallsburg class of 1976. Although Jamie had no children of her own she loved her nieces and nephews dearly. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend who will be sorely missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her loving mother Martha Gershon, her sister Donna, her brother Steven and his significant other Cecil, Nieces and nephews Julie, Joel, Jillian, Jason, and Keith grand nieces and nephews Aubrey, Ethan, Noah, Ryan, Nathan, Jordyn, and Jayden and a large extended family and a host of friends. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Congregation B`Nasi Israel Cemetery, Glen Wild, NY.
