Obituary of Lucille Perito
Lucille Perito of the Bronx passed away on Thursday March 10, 2011 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx. She was 75. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Pasquelina Passaro Visconti, and was born on December 13, 1935 in the Bronx, NY. For thirty years, she worked at a catering hall and restaurant Villa Barone Manor formerly known as Tardi's as a bookkeeper. She was a dedicated mother who always worked two jobs so that her children could attend Catholic school in the Bronx. She also spent a lot of her time at St. Benedicts Church working bingo. Her family was always the most important thing in her life; she always tried to instill the best morals and values in her children, grandchildren, and the people around her. She was the type of person people could confide in and would go to when they had a problem. She would help them figure it out rather than judge them. Everyone that knew her knew she was a loving, caring person who was always looking to lend a helping hand. She made her house a home which was warm and welcoming place for all to come and visit and treated everyone like family. To many she was known for being a social butterfly and the life of the party. She loved to dance and cook, and will be truly missed by her friends, but most of all by her family. She will continue to live on in their hearts and memories. She is survived by her two loving children Anthony Perito of Woodbourne, NY, and Carolyn Perito of the Bronx, two grandchildren Jacqueline Perito of Santa Barbara, CA. and Antonio Perito of Woodbourne, NY., and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her husband of 43 years Antonio "Tony" Perito in 2003, sisters Camille Sammartino and Ann Manno, and one brother Alfonso "Sonny" Visconti. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday on March 14, 2011 at Theresa Church in the Bronx followed by an interment at St. Raymond's Cemetery Bronx, NY. Arrangements were under the direction of Colonial Memorial Funeral Home. For further information please call 845-434-7363 or visit our web site at www.colonialbryantfuneralhome.com.
