Obituary of Doris Sisco

Doris Sisco of Monticello formerly of Mt. Dora Florida passed away on March 14, 2011 peacefully at the Skilled Nursing Unit at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 84. She was the daughter of the late George and Stella Dabbs Ackerman; born on December 26, 1926. At one time she lived in Buttler NJ, and then moved to Mt. Dora, Fl and finally made her home here in Monticello, NY. She found enjoyment in many different activities such as watching the food channel and tennis, reading mystery novels, and playing cards. Some of her favorite games to play were Pinnacle, Canasta, Flinch, and good old fashion Rummy. She just recently became familiar with the computer and was enjoying learning more about it. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be sorely missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her loving children John Sisco of Upton, MA., Joyce Rubano of Grahamsville, NY, and Tom Sisco of Miami, FL., grandson Dennis Rubano Jr. great grandchildren Nathanul, Savannah, Kayla, Brionna, Asjah, Sierra, and Anthony. She was predeceased by one grandson Tony Rubano, six brothers and two sisters. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Skilled Nursing Unit at Catskill Regional Medical Center for their compassion and kindness while Doris was living there.
