Obituary of Charles Morris

Charles Joseph Morris Jr. "Sonny" of Hurleyville died at his home on Monday April 11, 2011 he was 80. Sonny was born November 29, 1930 in Mountaindale, NY tothe late Charles and Lena Lybolt Morris Sr. He was as self employed carpenter who everyone knew and respected for his honesty humor and good witt. Sonny served his country in the Army during Korea recieving two bronze stars along witht the Korean service medal. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Mona Marie Hatt Morris at homeThree sons Rodney Morris and his fiance Sharon Cron, Allan Morris and his wife Ginger and David Morris and his wife Jacqueline one daughter Katrina Morris and her lifetome partner Mark Hagley. Five grandchildren Jessica of Florida, Sean of Maryland, David, Mike and Travis of Hurleyville brothers & sisters IEarl, Harry, Carl, & Leon Morris Isabele Coney, Teresa Lowe, Carrol Jones, Arlene Cabrera, Kathy Ryan & Lena Bower also several nieces & nephews . He was predeceased by 2 brothers Leonard & Edward Morris and two sisters Ruth Jones & Alice Morris. Visitation will be held on Thursday April 14 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY .Interment will be held on Saturday April 16 at 2:00pm at the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery on Sunset Lake Drive Liberty.
