Obituary of Theodore Churak

Theodore ?Ted? William Churak of South Fallsburg passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at home surrounded by his family and friends. He was 60. He was the son of the late George Gregory and Olga Semenkowich Churak, born on July 6, 1950 in Jamaica, Queens. Ted devoted many years to working at A. Alport & Son as the head counter person. At home and to his close friends Ted was known for maintaining and dominating control of the remote and his seat at all times. Ted knew how to party and would always keep people smiling with his jokes and unique sense of humor. Ted found enjoyment in many different things like sitting outside and cooking for his friends and family especially cooking Chinese Food; but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband and loving father that will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 30 years Kathleen ?Kathy? Stratton Churak at home, loving daughters Tamara Marie Churak of South Fallsburg, and Tabitha Lynn Frunzi and her husband Gary ?Sonny Boy? of South Fallsburg, one sister Georgianna Olga Churak one brother Gregory Churak both of South Fallsburg, and his favorite cat Sam. A special thank you is extended from Ted?s family to his care taker and friend Kathy Graham. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 1, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 2, 2011 at 11:00 am at the funeral home, Mother Joan Laliberte will officiate. Interment will be held privately at the conveniences of the family. As Ted would say ?Not for Nothing?.
