He leaves behind his wife Kim Hillriegel Mills and Step-Sons James, Dalton and Cole Rankin, brothers Tim and his wife Patricia and their children Tim Jr (wife - Vanessa), Mary Hessinger,(husband - Ed), and Michael Mark. Thomas and Angela and their children Faith,Farrah, Fern, and Thomas and his many neices, nephews, great neices and great nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and co workers. He was predeceased by his brothers Mark & Chris, and his Aunt Henrietta and Uncle Ray Kleingardner. Livingston Manor lost its Mayor. Johnny was a friend to all. He had a way of making everybody feel like they were his best friend. Many knew him as the King of the Mountain People. He enjoyed camping, large campfires, horseshoes, softball, singing, and spending time with his wife, his boys, and his friends and family. He had a special place in his heart for his god sons Owen Moss and Michael Mills. He fondly loved all children, and they loved him. He loved the Yankees, the Knicks, the Cowboys, country music, and especially David Allen Coe. Everyone that knew Johnny will miss his huge hugs that lifted your spirits and your feet right off of the ground. John was a proud union laborer with the Laborers Union Local #17 Newburgh, NY, which granted him the opportunity to make many true friends out of co-workers! He was an active member of LMFD Hoos Truck, the B.P.O.E #1545 Lodge in Liberty,NY, and a member of the New York State Horseshoe Players Association. He was one of the truest, most sincere people to ever live. He made foot steps in all of our lives, and they will stay here with us forever. Johnny made the world a brighter place for all of us, and he will be dearly, and truely missed. "No one has more fun than Johnny Mills."
