Obituary of Roy Burger

Roy R. Burger of South Fallsburg died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at home. He was 55. He was the son of the late Ralph A. and Steffie Morinski Burger, he was born on September 27 1955 in Trenton, NJ. Roy worked for Alpine Acers for many years as a caretaker Roy was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend who will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved him. He is survived by his three loving children Roy Burger Jr. and his wife Erin, Frankie and his wife Jen all of Florida, and Steffie Burger of Monticello, several grandchildren, eight siblings Lillian VanDermark of Harris, Joyce Rhodes of Syracuse, Linda Rodriquez of So. Fallsburg, Rose Marie Froeligh of Hurleyville, Cindy Burger of Monticello, Virginia Burger of Monticello, Ralph Burger of Hurleyville, and Michael Burger of Fallsburg, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Visitation will be on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2-6pm. A Celebration of Roy's life will begin at 6:00pm, Mr. Jim Kaufman will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hurleyville Fire Department, PO Box 357, Hurleyville NY 12747.
