Obituary of Evelyn Decker

Evelyn M. Decker of Rock Hill a retired food service worker at Monticello central School died on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty. She was 93. She was the daughter of the late William and Beulah Winters DeGraw, born on October 13, 1917 in Fallsburg, NY. Mrs. Decker was involved in many different organizations; she was a member of the Rock Hill Fire Department Lady Auxiliary, and a member of the National Grange of Monticello. On her free time she was a Sunday school teacher for the Rock Hill Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her. She was the wife of Vincent Decker to whom she was married to for 66 years before he passed away in 2003. She was also predeceased by her one grandson Michael Irelan. She is survived by her loving daughters Barbara Tremper and her husband Paul and Marilyn Irelan and her husband Richard Sr. all of Rock Hill five grandchildren Richard Jr., Greg, Laurie, Tammy, and Trina, 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, one brother Jack DeGraw and his wife Charlotte of Fallsburg and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 11-1:00pm at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788. A funeral service will be on Saturday at 1:00pm at the funeral home Rev. Schaffer will officiate. Interment will follow at the Old Falls Cemetery, Fallsburg, NY.
