Obituary of Nettie Perrello

Nettie Perrello of Woodbourne entered the gates of heaven on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Catskill Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Gicochino and Ann DelPrete Guarino. Born on January 25, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York, she was 74. She was a woman who wore many hats; from a former worker on Wall Street to a great full-time mother. She was also a member of the Loch Sheldrake and Fallsburg Senior Citizens and a devoted member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception. She was the proud owner and operator of Lazy ?G? Campground in Woodridge, NY for 31 years, a place where families would visit year after year and called it their ?second home.? A generous soul with a witty personality, Nettie fought a courageous battle. She was admired by many for her strong-will and determination. She was an avid dog-lover, enjoyed traveling with her husband, and treasured the moments she spent with her family. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted husband of 52 years George Perrello Sr. at home, her loving children Joseph Perrello Sr. and his wife Karen of Fallsburg, George Perrello Jr. and his wife Donna of Woodridge, Anthony Perrello and his wife Maureen of Woodbourne, and Lori Lindridge and her husband Ronnie of Woodbourne, eight grandchildren Jennifer Parisi, Nicole Schwartz, Karen, Joseph, Krystal, Anthony, George, and Nicholas Perrello, three great-grandchildren Kayle and Lucas Parisi and Aubre Schwartz, brothers William Guarino of Woodridge, Jack Guarino of Florida, and Joseph Guarino of Long Island, and Ralph Guarino, many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. She was predeceased by her one brother Tony. Visitation will be on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 State Route 52 Woodbourne, NY 12788 from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the Church of the Immaculate Conception at 10a.m. Father Lynch will of officiate.
