Obituary of Eleanor Orlowsky
Eleanor Grace Orlowsky of Hurleyville passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was 84.
She was the daughter of the late Walter and Edith Miller Quick' born on June 25, 1927 in Hurleyville, NY.
Eleanor found enjoyment in many different activities such as gardening, doing puzzles, playing piano, and cooking. Eleanor spent most of her time making her house a home and a welcoming place for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to come and visit. She loved her cats but more most of all her family and would do anything for them. When she wasn't busy tending to the needs of her family she worked at New York Telephone and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was also a member of the Hurleyville Methodist Church and past Den Mother.
Eleanor leaves behind to cherish her memories her devoted husband of 66 years whom she married on June 24, 1945 in Port Jervis, Edward Orlowsky at home, her loving children Dr. Edward Gene Orlowsky and his wife Mary of Arcadia, CA. Robert Orlowsky and his wife Cathy of Hurleyville, and Leeann Besimer and her husband Ron of Fallsburg, grandchildren Christopher, Shean, and Marissa Orlowsky, and there mother Julie Orlowsky, Tanya Dennenberg and her husband Justin of Gardenville, NY, Tara Adams of Hurleyville, Jennifer Orlowsky of Boston, MA., Brett Cookingham of Monticello, Craig Cookingham of Loch Sheldrake, and great grandchildren Brianna (Biddy) Cookingham, Adam and Logan Dennenberg.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Holly D. Pippio and Lonnie Lindsey for their exceptional care.
A celebration of Eleanor's live will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
