Obituary of Joseph Vitale

Joseph M. Vitale of Woodbourne passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011 peacefully at home with his family by his side. He was 84. He was the son of the late Louis and Anna DeGiglio Vitale, born on January 24, 1927 in New York City, NY. Joe served his country in the United States Army during World War II in Germany; he later became a chemical engineer and system analyst. During his retirement Joe authored three novels. He was a loving father and grandfather who will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved him. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his son Mark Vitale, his daughters Chris Vitale, Laura Weigand and her husband John, and Barbara Vitale, grandchildren Bryan Imbrogno, Jared Behan, Nicholas Vitale, Leah Behan, Gina Vitale, Kyla Weigand, Harlen Weigand, Natasha Conde and great grandson Alexander Imbrogno, a special cousin Linda Arrigo and several others. A graveside service will be on Friday, August 19, 2011 at 2:00pm at the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Sunset Blvd. Liberty, NY 12788.
