Obituary of Betty Todd Kelly
Betty E. Todd Kelly passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern, NY. She was 77.
She was the daughter of the late Marshall Ney and Nellie Vredenburg Todd, born on November 28, 1933 in Hardenburg, NY.
Betty loved many things such as hunting, fishing and gardening but most of all spending time with her family. She was referred to by her grandchildren as the ?Epic Grammy? . She retired three times from driving school bus for the Monticello Central School District, Sullivan County Office of the Aging and the Catskill Regional Medical Center Adult Day Care Program. She was an active member of the Monticello United Methodist Church and a member of the former Forestburgh Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend, who will be sorely missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving children Kim Stacy and her husband Eugene, Elizabeth Giumarra and her husband George Nevin Sr., James Kelly and his wife JeanAnne, eight grandchildren Kelly Ann Taggart and her husband Dale, Todd Stacy and his fiance Christina Ferguson, Marshall, Krysta, and Robert Kelly, Erin Giumarra, George Nevin Jr., and Stefanie Boyd, four great grandchildren Hunter, and William Taggart, Logan Stacy, and Vincent DeGraw Jr.
She was predeceased by her husband Elwood Kelly in 2008, sister Ann Archibald and brother William Lincoln Todd.
As per Mom's wishes there will be no viewing, there will be a memorial gathering (party) held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the United Methodist Church Hall 445 Broadway, Monticello, NY beginning at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Betty's name to the United Methodist Church 445 Broadway, Monticello, NY 12701.
